Jacqueline (Jackie) Brown joined the Duke University Office of Counsel in August 2024 as a Legal Fellow for Duke University and Duke University Health System. Ms. Brown graduated cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in May 2022, where she was a member of the ABA Client Counseling Team, contributed to the Journal of Regulatory Compliance, and served as a student clinician at the Civitas ChildLaw Clinic—advocating on behalf of minors in child welfare proceedings in the Cook County Juvenile Court and in high-conflict domestic relations proceedings in the Circuit Court of Cook County Domestic Relations Division.

Prior to joining the Office of Counsel, Ms. Brown was in private practice with a multinational law firm, where she represented clients in high-stakes litigation and complex insurance coverage disputes involving property damage, construction defects, and professional liability claims. Additionally, Ms. Brown served as monitoring counsel for clients in the energy sector, managing claims involving catastrophic injuries and extensive damages.

Ms. Brown received her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Mass Communications from the University of Delaware in 2019, where she was inducted into the Phi Sigma Alpha Honors Society for Political Science.

She is admitted to the Illinois State Bar.
