Elise Lane joined the Duke University Office of Counsel in September 2024. She advises Duke University and Duke University Health System on litigation and dispute-related matters; government investigations; and regulatory matters, including antitrust and financial aid.
Prior to joining the Office of Counsel, Ms. Lane was in private practice with a multinational law firm, where she focused on government investigations, merger review and clearance, and antitrust counseling. Prior to law school, Ms. Lane work in the United States Senate and at the Council on Foreign Relations.
Ms. Lane received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar and the D.C. Bar.
