Catharine W. Cummer

Catharine Cummer joined Duke in 2011.  She has responsibility for the Duke University Health System’s certificate of need and related state healthcare planning and regulatory activities.  Her practice also includes telemedicine, graduate medical education, and other regulatory and transactional matters for the health system.  

Ms. Cummer graduated from Stanford University in 1993 and the University of California at Berkeley Law School in 1996. Prior to joining Duke, Ms. Cummer was in private practice specializing in health care, employment law, and litigation.
