David Singleton joined the Office of the General Counsel in 1987. His practice includes tax law, tax audits and tax exempt organizations; employee and executive compensation; payroll; pension and welfare benefits; corporate governance; real estate matters; general contract matters and government grants and contracts. He began his legal career in the Tax Department of a Fortune 250 Company located in New York City. Mr. Singleton earned his undergraduate degree (B.S. in Mathematics) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1971, his law degree from Wake Forest University in 1977 and his Masters of Law (in Taxation) from New York University in 1978. Mr. Singleton is Secretary or Assistant Secretary for many of the University’s support corporations. He is admitted and licensed to practice law in North Carolina and New York.
